Occupational Safety & Health in Technical Projects

Plan & Project of Health and Safety

The Safety and Health Plan (SHP) and File (SHF) are the primary tools for managing OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) in Technical Projects (TP). The SHP is developed by the project coordinator during the design phase and is used during construction. It integrates risk prevention during work into all aspects of the project's design and aims at the coordination and guidance of all involved during construction. For each phase of the project and work, the method of execution for each task is described, along with the potential hazards and the proposed measures for their prevention or control. It includes the assessment of occupational risk as required by Article 8 of Presidential Decree 17/96. The SHF aims to identify, prevent, and limit the risks to workers on the project during possible subsequent maintenance, modification, repair, or even final demolition work. It includes, among other things, the following:

  • The project registry, which includes the "as-built" drawings and the technical description of the project.
  • Instructions and notes on safety and health matters that must be considered during the future use of the project, such as routine and emergency maintenance work, and repairs on the project.

The preparation of the Safety and Health File (SHF) is completed along with the project and is handed over to the Project Owner.

IndustrialSafety undertakes the preparation of the following:

  • Preparation of the Safety & Health Plan (SHP) for each category of project, technical or industrial.
  • Preparation of the Safety & Health File (SHF) at the commencement of the project.
  • Preparation of the Safety & Health File (SHF) upon project handover.
