As Dangerous Goods Transport Safety Advisors, we provide the service of adapting your company's procedures to the requirements of the legislation governing the transportation of dangerous goods. We offer the required advisory services according to the current legislation, employing a Dangerous Goods Transport Advisor with duties described in the following paragraph.

Duties of the Safety and Health Management Officer (S.A.T.D.G.)

 

  • The advisor has the following duties as described by the ADR legislation.
  • Monitoring compliance with the requirements governing the transportation of dangerous goods.
  • Providing advice on the project for the transportation of dangerous goods.
  • Preparing an annual report for the company's management.

 

The Dangerous Goods Transport Safety Advisor (S.A.T.D.G.) is responsible for monitoring the following practices and procedures as outlined by the ADR legislation.

 

  • Procedures for compliance with the requirements that define the identification of dangerous goods being transported.
  • The practice of the project in considering special requirements related to the dangerous goods being transported during the purchase, if applicable.
  • Procedures for the inspection of equipment used in relation to the transportation, loading, or unloading of dangerous goods.
  • Proper training of employees and maintaining records of this training.
  • Implementation of appropriate emergency plans that may affect safety during the transportation, loading, or unloading of dangerous goods.
  • Investigation and, where necessary, the preparation of reports on serious accidents or incidents recorded during the transportation, loading, or unloading of dangerous goods.
  • Implementation of appropriate measures to prevent the recurrence of accidents, incidents, or serious violations.
  • Consideration of legal specifications and special requirements related to the transportation of dangerous goods when selecting and using subcontractors or third parties.
  • Confirmation that employees involved in the transportation, loading, or unloading of dangerous goods have detailed instructions available to them.
  • Introduction of measures to enhance awareness of the inherent risks during the transportation, loading, or unloading of dangerous goods.
  • Implementation of verification procedures to ensure the presence of transport documents and safety equipment in the vehicle, which must accompany the transportation, and compliance of these documents and equipment with the regulations. 
  • Implementation of verification procedures to ensure compliance with the requirements regarding loading and unloading.
  • Existence of a safety plan.
